Hair Loss Affecting Women

The face is one of the first things a person sees when meeting another person and the hair is what the eyes really first jump to. No wonder that hair is somewhat of a status symbol in women as many actually define their image simply by their own hair. So hair loss in women is a serious issue that many females have nightmares about and with good reason.

Unfortunately every single year there are more and more women who experience severe hair loss. This is a seriously growing problem and in the last year alone 30 million women in the US have reported hair loss at an earlier age than in previous years. If you think that this is scary, yes, indeed, it is.

One of the main reasons that can cause baldness in women is hormone related. Basically it comes down to the enzymes and the hormones that are in the areas around the actual scalp and their variety. Have you noticed that men get bald in concentrated areas (such as the front), while women get bald in various places, all over their scalp? This is because of that. For women sadly the situation is so that it can actually happen at any age due to hormone imbalances, various surgeries, emotional traumas and shock, very high stress and even after giving birth. Additionally taking some medicine, being anemic or having thyroid problems can greatly contribute to women baldness.

One important aspect of trying to diagnose it is to do various blood tests. Many times when the problem has been found and treated, the baldness stops, and at times the hair even starts to grow back. It might not grow back fully as it was earlier, but any hair growth is happily seen by women who have to either wear wigs or hide their baldness in various other ways.

One of the ways that people started to look after their mane to avoid early hair-loss is by using natural products. It is a fact that using lots of haircare products that have chemicals in them can speed baldness simply because the hair follicles and cuticles get damaged and erode with time. It is much more difficult to treat damaged hair than prevent it in the first place. While, indeed, there are at times various external causes that simply are unavoidable, why should we increase our chances of getting bald when it is so easy to avoid it in the first place?

One of the best ways to treat your locks the proper way is to use quality products that don't damage the cuticles. When it comes to drying the strands, it is best to use a good quality, professional blow dryer.
